Familior offers families with children the opportunity to get in touch with ancient Greek art through some of the most known mythical creatures of Greek mythology that are exhibited at the Acropolis Museum . The educational program’s goal is for children to become familiar with the museum, discover some of its masterpieces and develop critical thinking, observation and imagination, all while having a good time.

“Mythical Creatures” is an educational program especially designed for children 4 to 6 years old that gives the chance for kids to have one of their first museum experiences. Children with the help of our specially trained state-licensed guide, will have the opportunity to search inside the museum’s exhibition area to discover mythical creatures with the help of “Glafka , the owl, symbol of ancient goddess Athena. Triton, daemons, sphinxes, centaurs, Cecrop and Eros, the son of Venus, will help children have a…mythical experience with ancient Greek mythology.

After the end of the educational program the participants will have the opportunity to enjoy a small lunch under the shade of olive trees, the sacred trees of ancient Athens while having a “Mythical creature” craft.
